Our place in the community

About us

The Dorking Christian Centre aims to be at the heart of the local community. Below are brief details on what is happening here.

Centre Cafe

Our aim is to ensure our local community has the option of an affordable hot lunch Monday to Friday. The café is open 11am to 1.30pm and serves lunch from 12 noon. Main meals are £4.20 and desserts £1.80

See Centre Café page for more details.

Social Activites

The Centre has many activities where you can have fun and make new friends. These include chair exercise, bridge, table tennis and sequence dance.

See What's On page for details.

Community Fridge

The Dorking Community Fridge is in our foyer area and is open from 10am to 11.30am Monday to Friday.

The Community Fridge is stocked from food surplus from supermarkets - it has a range of food from bread and pastries to ripe fruit & vegetables. The idea is to reduce the amount of food going to landfill.

Anyone can come and take what they need. There is a donation tin if you would like to leave a donation but no obligation.

Dorking Foodbank

The foodbank is here to help all those who find themselves in a financial crisis and cannot afford to put food on the table.

Opening hours: Tuesdays 4.45-5.45pm and Thursdays 2.30-3.30pm.

Thanks to support from local business we can offer this for a small donation. Booking required - please get in touch with the Centre Managers for more detail.
