Could you make the difference to someone's day?

The Cafe is run entirely by volunteers.   Many of our regular customers depend on the Centre to provide them with regular meals, and often value a friendly chat along with their food. We always need more cooks, and friendly faces to serve our customers. Do get in touch with the centre managers if you think this might be something for you.  We're keen to support folk who are trying to get back into work, and can provide references and experience that might be useful for future employment. We offer induction, and ongoing training including Health & Hygiene certificate. and First Aid Course. You can download our booklet 'information for volunteers' by clicking on the picture.

Specifically we have current vacancies for:

• Lunch time Cooks (hours 10-1.30)
• Lunch time servery staff (hours 12-2.30)
• Stock taker for the Bookstall (about 3 hours at the end of each month, ability to use excel spreadsheet real advantage).

If you can offer even one shift a month, we'd be pleased to hear from you; please contact the centre managers. We also need occasional help with admin tasks, or leaflet drops, again contact the centre managers if you'd be willing to be called upon when required... thank you!
