At the very heart of Dorking Town Centre, we are a Church Owned Community Centre, offering a variety of activities and services to the local community. We are pleased to host hairdressing, chiropody, foot care, & aromatherapy, recently transferred from the Mayflower Centre.
The Centre aims to be a 'tangible expression of God's Kingdom' in Dorking, by offering excellent service and a loving welcome to all who come through our doors. We were recently described by Local BBC radio reporter as an 'active demonstration of love in the community'.
We are pleased to have a wide range of local community groups and activities using our space; including exercise classes, public meetings, private parties, art groups, music classes for toddlers, University of the third Age lectures, Age Concern Computer Courses, counselling services and maths tutoring.
The Centre Cafe serves coffee and cake from 10am, and great value home cooked lunches from 12.15; our wonderful cook Veronica is ably assisted by a team of friendly volunteers.
Afternoon activities are hosted in the Cafe every weekday - join us for scrabble, bingo, bridge, or whist!
Our Saturday Coffee Mornings (10-noon) are hosted by a variety of local charities and good causes to raise their own funds; contact the office if you'd like to run such an event for your own cause - bargain hire price of £5!
A range of Christian Cards, Books,
and Gifts are available for sale in the cafe on Weekdays; we also sell hand made cards, and free range eggs from a local farm.
